Well not much has been going on in the Burton residence. Rylee has decided she needs to learn to crawl and is slowly but surely getting there. She does the most hilarious leap that I'm surprised she hasn't broken a bone yet. She has even started grabbing different pieces of furniture to pull herself up on. She is growing so fast. She is all over the house these days and thinks she needs to be in everything. Jeremy has learned to not set anything on the ground or else it is hers. Rylee officially said goodbye to her pacifier this month and hasn't even noticed its disappearance. Jeremy has decided that he needs to build her pay house right now even though she will not be able to play with it for years. We have been working hard to get our background more kid related so that we can spend a lot of time out there this summer. Jeremy was offered a couple of jobs out at the mines but decided that they were not worth the money with no benefits. Its kind of funny what you decided is necessary in a career when you start having children. We are looking forward to going to the zoo (even though Rylee won't remember anything) this weekend for Erin's birthday and it will be Rylee's first time there. Rylee has started eating baby food, and loves squash and green beans.

6 months old....almost

Rylee will turn 6 months old on Wednesday this week....So exciting!!! She is getting so big. She has started getting up on her knees and even does a little bit of a bear crawl. She has started eating her baby food and is loving green beans. She goes to the doctor on Thursday and gets another round of shots. She is growing so fast; she will be in her 3-6 months clothes pretty soon. She is a little shorty but that's okay. She has been traveling alot  lately but is a great traveler...as soon as we get in the car she starts talking and then she goes to sleep. We had her 6 month pictures and some new family pictures taken this past weekend and I have to say they turned out pretty well. She was sleeping when we first got there so we talked about what we wanted and then after about 5 min. we woke her up and she was actually very happy. We were done taking pictures after 40 minutes which was considerably faster then her last session which took 3 hours. She has started talking alot more and even squeezes out a few la, ba and ga's sometimes. I'm not quite sure if they are on purpose or if she is just mimicking Erin when she is talking to her. She is starting to smile when smiled at, but she is still pretty stingy with the giggles. Here are a few pictures!!

Progress

I know, I know I am horrible about keeping everyone up to date. It has been a great month so far. Rylee will be 5 months old on Valentines Day. Dang is she growing fast (at least age wise)!!! She is still in her 0-3 month old clothes, but we are expecting her to be in 3-6 in the next couple of months. She is rolling all over the place sitting by herself for a little while, and trying to lift herself up to sit(but no success yet). She is still pretty stingy with her giggles, but is smiling all the time not matter how little of sleep she gets. She has given up sleep altogether I have decided. Rylee has decided that she wants to be held all the time and never wants to be put down. She is chewing on everything still trying to push those teeth through. We have started her on rice and she is still getting us to the texture and having a spoon shoved in her mouth. Jeremy and I are doing great and we had a blast at our concert in SLC and have a blast catching up with Ben and Brina, and loved meeting Dodge. Hard to imagine that Rylee was once as small as he is.

Past couple of months...

Well it has been ages since I posted about our little family. We are doing great with having the new little addition in the family. It is so funny because my sister's daughter, Erin, thinks that Rylee is her baby and that she knows what to do for her all the time....who knew that a 1 1/2 year old knew how to take care of a new baby better then anyone else. Rylee is kind of a grouch butt compared to other babies that I have been around. On November we got her blessed, and I must admit that Jeremy did a wonderful job. We were lucky to have a large portion of my family over to bless her. For Thanksgiving we had dinner at my parents home because Jeremy had to work the day after. That weekend we had our first family Christmas party and Rylee's first chance to go swimming. Rylee loved the water, she spalashed and just sat in her floaty and watched everyone else in the water. She lasted alot longer then I had thought; she was in the water for about 90 min. As Christmas approached we had another Christmas party and a few visitors at our home. Rylee got the meet her Uncle and Aunt Boyack and her Grandpa Lawrence. She got spoiled to death on Christmas from her Gma and Gpa Stewart and her Aunt Nikki. She didn't get much from her parents because we figured she had everything that she needed. Rylee has been doing great at her two month appointment she got her first round of shots and was very good, she only cried for a little while. Over the past couple of weeks Rylee has started giggling and rolling over. She is pretty stingy with her laughter though she has only done it for her Gpa and Gma Stewart...I have tried and tried to get her to laugh for me but all she does is get a huge smile on her face and then go all serious (little stinker). Rylee has started to teeth so she isn't sleeping that well; getting up every 40 min. makes it a really long night. Jeremy has been great about getting up with her so that I can get a  break every once in a while and I think the extra bonding time is great for them. It should be a great month to come we are planning a trip to slc to visit Ben, Brina and Dodge and we are going to a concert that same weekend. Jeremy has starting to get off of work at a reasonable time instead of working late every night.

Rylee Jo

Well it has been along time since I posted anything. Rylee is officially here. She came on September 14th at 8:57 p.m. She was 6 lbs. 2 oz and 19 inches long. She hasn't been an easy baby since we got pregnant. First she didn't want anyone to see her when we would get ultrasounds, and then she made my delivery difficult. When I went into labor Wednesday morning I didn't really believe that I was in labor because I didn't have that much pain. I had a doctor's appointment in Evanston, so I got up and drove there by myself. The whole way over there I was thinking that I should call Jeremy to come and meet me to take me because I wasn't feeling that great, but I never did. I got to my doctor's appointment and my doctor checked to see if I was dilated, and I was already a 5. She told me that I needed to go to the hospital and check in. I called Jeremy to come over and he couldn't get off for a couple of hours, but my parents were heading to Evanston. After waiting, because the hospital had alot of delivery's that day, I got my water broken and went strait to an 8. I told them I wanted my epidural, and they tried 3 times and never had any success. After seeing that I was in so much pain they decided to give me a spinal block. They had to hurry and deliver me because the spinal block only last 2 hours at most. After pushing for 10 min. Rylee's heart rate kept dropping, so my doctor decide that we had to do a c-section. I was really nervous about having a c-section but knew everything was going to be okay. After they delivered Rylee they had some worries because she wasn't screaming or crying she was just looking around. She still loves laying on the floor and looking around. She has really dark hair, and looks nothing like her mother but looks alot like Jeremy. It is hard to believe that she will be a month old this week. Although it is hard at times we are truly blessed to have her in our lives. This past weekend we went and had our family pictures done, and some pictures of Rylee. They turned out wonderful.

Well it has been a really long time since I have posted anything. Nothing to exciting going on with us. We have finally painted the babies room, which I must say looks adorable, all we need to do is finish with some pictures, and little things. We are going to have our baby shower in a couple of weeks, and then it is only a short time until we have our child. Sad news is we STILL don't know what we are having. Every time we take a peek with the ultrasound our little one curls up and hides...this last visit my doctor was chasing the baby with the ultrasound. The 'guess' is that we are having a girl, but that is only a 'guess' because we can never see anything. Jeremy is really ready for our child to be here, but I don't think he is ready for how much work it is going to be. We are looking forward to it though. Crazy to think that we are having a child it still doesn't seem that real to me. Only 41 days left!!

Long Time, No Talk

Well it has been a really long time since I posted anything. Nothing to exciting going on new with us. Hopefully we will have our sod by the end of the week so we can FINALLY have grass in the back yard. I go to the doctor on Friday, and if my child forgets to be modest for a second we will be able to find out what I am having. Time is flying by and I am almost 7 months pregnant, it's hard to believe that in a short few months I will be very sleep deprived. Jeremy is busy working and trying to get the backyard done. He is going to try and take his mining class by the end of June so that he can hopefully get a job out at the mine soon. This month is busy for us. Shawna and Jeremy are getting married the 18th and then we have a reunion and then Jeremy has a week of vacation so maybe we can get some baby stuff done. But all in all we have been good and we are very happy that it is finally Summer.
